The owl has landed.......again
Well the owl wasn't quite finished with our deliveries - until Saturday. That is when the doorbell rang and then......there it was......the POA! Again, of course. This time it appears to be correct. Today I will take it to the agency. Too bad our case worker is OFF today and won't be able to overnight it to Guatemala. Oh well, what is one more day, really? hahaha - pretty funny.
As of now, (scared to write this and jinx it) we are DONE with paperwork on the US side. DONE. Unless of course we get to PGN (the attorney general in Guatemala) and they find a mistake on something that we have to re-do....but let's not think about that. Let's just relish in the fact that we are DONE in the US!!!!!!!
Of course there is always the re-adoption bureaucracy paperwork crap to do when little frijolito comes home but that is later. I am in the NOW for now.
If you have heard about the hurricane that hit Central America, please keep the people of Guatemala in your thoughts and prayers. They were hit hard with so much rain that there are massive mudslides and entire villages were destroyed. There are hundreds dead. I read this morning that one village will just cease to exist and it will be declared a Mayan burial ground because they can no longer try to find the bodies. Very, very sad. Here are some pictures: Guatemala flooding

Congrats on being done with the paperchase - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I hope your adoption proceeds swiftly now, I'll keep everything crossed.
I feel so bad about the mudslides and flooding, too. I'm going to look for a charity I can give to.

Mozel Tov on finishing the paperwork on our side. I almost wish I had more paperwork to do because it would distract me from the wait.
Those photos are heart wrenching! Do you know where your daughter's birth mother is from? We think ours is in Guatemala City as she is a student.

Great news Karen that the US paperwork is finished! The mudslies/flooding is devastating. Is your little girl safe from this? I will keep her/you in my prayers. I am counting the days with you Karen!
